Get Started

Initial Consultation

The first appointment is an initial consultation (45-75 minutes depending on the service you are pursuing) where we discuss what is bringing you in for treatment and determine whether we might be a good fit to work together moving forward. A strong and connected relationship is at the heart of effective psychotherapy, so it is essential that you feel comfortable with the person that you entrust to guide your treatment.

At the end of our first appointment, I will check in with you to see how you felt and will also provide my feedback and assessment regarding whether or not I believe that my services will be beneficial to your care. In the event that we decide not to move forward, I will do my best to help connect you with the right provider or resources.

Scheduling

Sessions are typically scheduled for 45-60 minutes on a weekly basis. For individuals and couples, I provide services at a lesser frequency on a case-by-case basis should we determine that this modality is clinically appropriate and my schedule can accommodate. Please note that this model is typically only a good fit for patients that I have been working with for an extended period of time as a transition-down model. Although I would love to have my patients on my office couch or screen forever, my hope is to help you get to a place where you can do most of the work on your own.

Insurance

I am an out of network provider. At my practice, I offer a concierge billing service where we take care of everything insurance related on your behalf, from checking your benefits prior to your first session to submitting claims. I recognize that using out-of-network benefits can be very overwhelming and I am dedicated to making it a seamless part of your treatment. For questions regarding fees and insurance you can reach out to the practice manager directly at admin@drsarenaloya.com.

Payment

Payment is accepted at time of service. Most patients elect to have their card stored securely on file and it is charged following each session.

Cancellation Policy

I maintain a 24 hour cancellation policy to ensure that I am able to accommodate others in the event that you are unable to attend your appointment. Monday appointments must be canceled by 12pm on Friday. Sessions canceled outside of this window will be charged at the full rate. Please note that insurance companies generally do not cover no-show or late cancellation appointments.
